B.L.A.S.T.
Youth Ministry

What we are about and what we do

What we are about:

B.L.A.S.T. stands for Building Lives Around Sound Truth, and that is what we aim to do. We offer classes on Sunday and Wednesday and host events outside the church as well. We try to have 2 events a month with the exception of the holiday season due to already full schedules. We have broken our group up into 2 sections - B.L.A.S.T. (7th-12th grade) and Young B.L.A.S.T. (7th-9th grade). We keep these groups together in class, but we do have specific events just for the young B.L.A.S.T. students.

 BLAST CLASS SCHEDULE

Sunday 10:00am - 11:00am

On Sunday we walk to the youth building and stream the adult service  via livestream and complete sermon notes. Afterward we engage in a small group discussion and talk about what we just heard, this helps the message stick. We like to call a Berean Round Table discussion because we have modeled it after the example of the Bereans found in the book of Acts (Acts 17:10-12).

Wednesday 6:15-7:45pm

On Wednesday we meet in the youth building and our teaching focuses on practical application of God's word in everyday life. We learn how to apply what we've learned to our relationship with God and our relationship with others.

Girls Bible Study

Jesus is greater than any storm we face!

We all have storms in life. These storms many times devastate us and leave us torn apart and beyond recognition. Heartbreak. Fear. Regret. Insecurity. Shame. When these emotions well up inside us, it’s difficult to believe we will make it through. We have an enemy who says we will not make it through this one.

But God offers us a way through the storm. In the storm inside, we will look at the stories of eight women of the bible who traveled the path from shame to love, from disappointment to hope, from insecurity to confidence, from despair to faith, and more. We’ll get to know them as real people and see how God came through for each of them. We’ll see the crucial choices they made, and we’ll lay hold of the grace that forgives what is past, gives strength for the present moment, and offers hope for the future.

Join Shiela in this eight-session video-based Bible study of eight women of the Bible – including Hannah, Ruth, Rahab, and Esther – whose stories still speak today, encouraging you that God is faithful enough to get you through the worst storms in life.
