Your first visit

If you are feeling a bit nervous to visit a new church, I understand. Visiting a new church can feel intimidating.

Ill help you shake the nerves here and give you the rundown. Here is what to expect at your first visit to Kaleva Bible Church will be like, just so when you do come their are no surprises.

If you arrive to our 10:00am service you would be welcomed by the smiling faces of our greeters. They would hand you a church bulletin and help answer any questions you might have.

You would then find a seat anywhere you felt comfortable. Don't worry our church family is very flexible with seating...you wont need to worry about sitting in anyone's spot.

Pastor Dave tries to say hello to everyone each morning, so you would likely get to meet him as well.

When 10:00am rolls around our praise team will begin morning worship (the singing), and you can join in however you are comfortable. Some of our church family raise their hands or clap and others don't, we are an eclectic mix of worshippers.

After the first song one of our leaders will pray and then we continue on to our second song.

After the second song Pastor Dave will make a few announcements, and the ushers will take up the offering. During this time you will be given a visitor card to fill out and drop into the offering plate.

Next we will sing two more songs before dismissing children to their classes.

Nursery: 0 - 3

Rainbow: 3 - Pre-K

Kings Kids: 4 - 4th grade

SLAM: 5th - 6th grade

Young BLAST: 7th - 9th grade (Stay in for main service)

BLAST: 10th - 12th grade (stay for main service)

Once the children leave for their classes Pastor Dave will pray and begin the sermon. Pastor Dave teaches in an expository style. He will give you the explanation, illustration and application of a passage of Scripture, and share the central theme and main points from the passage. In closing he will share practical ways you can apply the truths he taught to your everyday life. Our sermons usually last 30 to 45 minutes.

After the sermon a final song is sung by the congregation, so feel free to join in.

Children will return after the closing song and you are welcome to stay and chat, or can get going right away.
