My Story
I attended Moody Bible Institute and then transferred to Detroit Bible College where I graduated with a B.R.E. in 1972. While attending Detroit Bible College Sue and I began full time ministry with Youth for Christ/Youth Guidance. Then in 1974 I became the Youth Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Hazel Park, Michigan where Sue and I served until becoming the Senior Pastor at Kaleva Baptist Church here in Kaleva. In March of 2017 Kaleva Baptist became Kaleva Bible Church where we continue our passion to teach the inerrant Word of God in a clear and meaningful way. I am a sports fan (Go Blue!) and really enjoy hunting and fishing as a means of relating to the men of our Church.

I am grateful for my wife. Sue is involved in several ministries with our ladies and the children’s S.L.A.M. (Savior, Lord and Master) program. She is a great blessing to our congregation, as well as the community.
